Does anyone know what happens during orientation week for transitional year? It lands June 15-19th at most programs and I happen to have a family obligation that week. I was wondering how important it is to be there and how it would affect one to miss?

Thank you in advance for comments

Usually it's BLS and ACLS, as well as orientation to the hospital, mounds of paperwork including your health, life, and disability stuff. Maybe if you talk to your DME/PD you can work it out. Maybe you can get you ACLS/BLS stuff done on your own time (and dime, they usually pay for it for you) and meet with the HR people on your own time.
