1. Does a transitional/ internship year enable someone to match at a PGY 1-3 EM program or are they restricted to the 2-4 programs? Will it count for year 1 of a 1-3 or 1-4 year program?

2. Anyone know how the federal funding works for a transitional year applicant?

1. I suppose you could reapply and match to a 1-3 or 1-4 program, but no the transitional year would not count as year 1 of a 1-3 or 1-4.
