When the ABPN and ACGME require 6months of IM +2 of fm/I'm/PEDS/ER..... Do the 6 months of IM have to b inpatient?

Yes the 6 months of IM need to be inpatient based.

From a previous post on SDN:
1. 6 months of inpt internal medicine (includes consults and subspecialties).
2. Total of 8 months of either all internal medicine, or up to 1 month of ER and/or 1 month of Peds.
3. No more than 2 months of Neurology.
