Recently, I have started volunteering at a local hospice. I drive to the hospice for training events and to the patient's residence for assignments. I have been under the impression that travel time should not be included under "total hours" in the AMCAS application (Please let me know if I'm mistaken). However, this specific hospice actually awards hours to its volunteers for their commute times (We record both "Assignment Time" and "Round Trip Travel Time.").
I've been keeping an excel sheet for my hospice volunteering hours with separate columns including and excluding travel time.
If/when it comes time for me to reapply, which should I use to record my total hours for hospice volunteering? Thanks.
