Our practice is closing up shop on chemo teach appointments, latest interpretation of billing is that these are no longer billable. Curious if your practice has done the same?

We have not. But we only bill the NP's time anyway, not the pharmacist, RN or SW. You can easily justify billing a physician/APP visit for that.

Our admin determined it wasn't justified E/M code so couldn't bill on time unless seeing for another reason. We're recalibrating our work flow, it's a minor inconvenience but it was easy billing for NPs and useful to patients I felt.

How is seeing a cancer patient to discuss their treatment not a justified medical visit.

We are still doing it AFAIK

^100%. IMO it's no different than billing for a visit when a patient wants to come in and review labs/imaging in person compared to a portal message or quick phone call.
