Anyone having difficulty with the Tricare directory and therefore not getting referrals? How are you going about fixing this?
I started a new practice near a heavy military presence. The base does not have pain management on site and make referrals to doctors in the region that are in network. However, in order to get these referrals your name and/or company needs to be in the directory. Mine should be as I am in network.... but I cannot be found during a search.
Tricare underwent a change from three regions to two... now Tricare West and Tricare East. During this transition (Jan 1st 2018) Tricare Defense Health Agency implemented a number of changes to TRICARE, including a region consolidation and health care policy changes mandated by Congress.
This has apparently messed up the directory leading to a backlog of referrals being placed. I keep being told by the Tricare patient coordinator rep that "Admin" is working on it and it will be fixed soon. This has been going on for months now. Just wanted to see if anyone else was going through this?
