Have any private practice providers who accept Tricare for service members and dependents in the west region successfully navigated this transition to Triwest?
This has been a nightmare. Minimal guidance on billing, how to ensure new authorizations are sent for new patients, wait times of 50+ minutes now to reach a representative. Sadly 85% of my caseload is Tricare so I may have some cash flow problems for a while. They don't even have a self-service claim status tool up and running yet - I have no idea if the claims I send to them through Simple Practice are even being processes.
Any recommendations or experiences on your end so far with this transition? Thoughts on how to navigate this other than just being patient with this transition.
