Does it test C6, C7 or C7, C8?

FA says C6, C7 but multiple other sources say C7, C8, which is where the "C7, C8 lay em straight" mnemonic comes from.

Yeah, C6-8 spinal nerves all contain those ventral roots that innervate triceps muscle.

Just remember that C7 is the most important innervating ventral root.
