I found a q in some online forum. I had no clue.

Basically question stem is describing male with osteogenesis imperfecta. Spot on every clue there, blue sclera bone fractures, loose skin etc. Anyways the question asks WHAT is INCREASED in this patent, couldn't recall all of the choices, some where chondrocytes, chondroblasts, osteoblasts, osteocytes etc.. Anyone care to help out? I'd greatly appreciate it, thank you.

Osteoblasts produce collagen.

I've never heard of osteoblastic cell # being increased in OI, but if the question literally came down to guessing which cell type is increased, I'd guess osteoblast bc defective collagen synthesis would equate to a compensatory attempt to more greatly produce it, potentially resulting in osteoblastic hyperplasia/hypertrophy.
