When should I trim the integrity crown so it doesnt get stuck on or locked on? Like take it off when its soft and pull off the stuff below contact points or just drill on it when its hard
One of my professors told me to take it out at 2 min and let it sit outside the mouth for an addition 2 min. At 2 min, it is set up enough to hold its form, but malleable enough to get it off without breaking/cracking. Letting it sit 2 additional minutes allows it to harden enough to then trim the excess and try it back on. I’m not going to claim that it is a perfect science, but it generally works pretty well. When should I trim the integrity crown so it doesnt get stuck on or locked on? I was told this by one of my professors as well and it’s given me good results. Wait for about two minutes so your provisional (I’m assuming is bis-acryl) is still a little soft but not so soft that you can deform it by grabbing it, then take it off. Let it harden and then place it back. It will make your life a lot easier rather than trying to take it off once it’s already hardened.
That is WAY too early to remove it. I highly doubt that the instructions say that.Hmm I thought the instructions regarding integrity says to remove it after 1 minute.
