Hi!

I am having trouble making my school list. Any advice on making my list, schools to add, schools to take away would help a ton!

I am a CA resident from northern CA. I graduated with a dual degree from the UC system. I have an upward trend cGPA of 3.77 and a 514 MCAT (cp 129, cars 124 😔, bb 130, ps 131). 450 hours of clinical experience of combined paid clinical and volunteering with many more anticipated hours. 660 hours of non clinical volunteering (400 of them being leadership). 750 hours of research and one pub (6th author). 150 hours of shadowing. Let me know of schools I should add/take away or any advice in general!

So far I am thinking:
  • Albert Einstein
  • Boston University
  • Tufts
  • Geisel (Dartmouth)
  • Kaiser
  • USC Keck
  • University of Vermont (Larner)
  • Stanford
  • UCSF
  • UCLA (Geffen)
  • UCSD
  • UC Davis
  • UC Irvine
  • University of Colorado
  • University of Nevada Reno
  • Wake Forest

Nevada admits few non residents with no connection to the state. I suggest these schools with your stats:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Tufts
UMass
Albany
New York Medical College
Rochester
Hackensack
Penn State
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Pittsburgh
George Washington
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
Wake Forest
NOVA MD
Belmont
Alice Walton
Roseman
TCU
Creighton
Rosalind Franklin
Medical College Wisconsin
Western Michigan
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Arizona (Phoenix)
California University
Kaiser
USC Keck
The UCs (except Riverside unless you are from that region)

Do you have any community service? It looks like you have zero hours, which puts your application at risk of being screened out.
I volunteer as a soccer coach and volunteer is a memory care group within my town that gives families caring for family members with dementia a day of respite.

So your only service to underserved communities is... the youth soccer teams? Memory care is clinic/health-adjacent and doesn't satisfy what I am discussing. Soccer coach is great for exercise, but it doesn't put you in front of people who must have daily needs fulfilled or requires social support.
