Hi everyone! Just need an opinion.
As far as dental experience, I have 100 hrs shadowing my orthodontist who is really sweet and has already approached me about how excited she is to write my letter. I know that having a lot hrs from a speciality vs general isn't always great, so i was able to get a job as a dental assistant at a general dentist.
The dentist I work for is very reserved and runs a tight ship and i've had doubts about the kind of letter i can get from her since i started working, which at this point was +300 hrs ago. I recently learned she doesn't like writing LORs regardless of who it is and thinks it is a waste of her time. 🙁 I'll still be asking anyway to see if she would even say yes, but i have to say i have a really bad feeling about it.
The job is good money so I don't really want to leave, but I don't think I'll get a good letter, if any at all, from her. Do you think schools will question a letter from my ortho with so many hrs under my belt from this other dentist?
Thanks everyone!
