Hey all!
Hope all is well. Has anyone had any experience with TrueLearn and their QBanks?

Our school gave us COMBANK. It's widely regarded as garbage.

I will tell you in a few weeks how my 80% translates to COMLEX.

UWorld is the gold standard. Kaplan seems to be a bit of a runner-up burbi never used it.

LECOM buys it for all their med students. IIRC the guy who developed TrueLearn is an alumnus. School made us do questions daily during spring of year 2 for both COMLEX and USMLE prep....it has separate Qbanks for each test. They also gave us diagnostic exams for COMLEX on TrueLearn. I'd rate it somewhere between USMLE Rx and UWorld in difficulty....but it's like over 2000 free questions with detailed answers...so better than a stick in the eye.
Now that I'm on my first clerkship (my EM sub-I)....they're having us do TrueLearn NBME subject exam questions for each core rotation. I'd say it's on par with the Rosh Review app I paid $50 for a one month subscription..which only comes with 700 some odd questions. So I'm hoping b/w TrueLearn and Rosh Review, I'll nail my EM shelf exam this coming Friday. Right now my TrueLearn EM scoring is putting me in the 99th percentile. Rosh is saying I'm 85% overall correct % with a 100% probability of passing and a projected clerkship score of 93. An A on my clerkship is my goal...but a glowing SLOE is really all I care about..they probably go hand-in-hand to a large extent.

I'll try and update this when I get my shelf results back. Next clerkship is pediatrics, I'll try and do the same for that as well.

Yeah I'm kinda curious how TL COMLEX prediction will translate to my Level1 as well.......I think it over predicted my Step 1 scores by a small margin. I did think the OMM questions on TL were fairly similar to the ones I saw on Level1.
I will say the bio stats on this year's Level1 were much harder and more numerous than on TL or on Step 1...but that's just my opinion.

Yikes, good to know! Sounds like UWorld Kaplan and I’m hearing amboss are the go to for step

UWorld is definitely the best regardless of which exam you are taking. I've used Combank, Comquest, UWorld, USMLE Rx and Kaplan. I liked Rx and Kaplan prior to dedicated. The Combank and Comquest questions I only did during the few days between my Step and Comlex exams and then the days before my Comats, and I only did the questions to get familiar with the question format. The quality of the Combank and Comquest questions and explanations weren't that great.

Truelearn is trash. Get USMLE rx to do with your course work. Save UW for spring of second year (assuming you take step 1 at the end of second year)

Great for ABSITE (the general surgery boards), but never used it for Step.

I am using truelearn this year to study for PRITE even though it doesn't matter so much--more just to brush up on topics without having to attempt to read a 1000-page text. Will report back in a few months.
