So Im a PA resident who went to a liberal arts school, majored in philosophy ( gradauted with honors via thesis on health care allocation). Played NCAA lacrosse for 4 years, held leadership positions in my sorority, volunteered both in/out of hospitals have 3 years of summer expereince in health care research (both clinical and non clinical). Also have extensive shadowing expereince. Health care experience in 3rd world country

My GPA is 3.7
MCAT
9PS, 10 V, 10 BS Q

I have applied to medical schools for the past 2 years (about 25-30 each time). Last year I got interviews ( late) at Duke, Pitt. Was waitlsited at Pitt. never got in.
This year I applied again and only got 2 interivews ( Hershey (PSU) and Texas).
I am taking the MCAT again, but what else should I be doing, everyone keeps telling me that im a great canidate but I am sitting here without an acceptance again! thanks~

Something is wrong. Unless you got your application in late both years, you should have gotten more interviews if you applied to 35 schools.
Is there something wrong with your LOR's or personal statement, or did you not make it clear in your application how many hours/how much time you have spent volunteering.

The MCAT Score isn't great, but I think you should be getting more interviews.
Retaking the MCAT after studying a lot and taking a prep course may help your application.

What age are you? Do you have a full time job? What area are you working in? Is it science or health care related?

Do you have at least one LOR from a physician?

Thanks... my app was submitted in June this year and I had all my secondaries in within 2 weeks of receiving them.

I am 22 years old and I am working as a clinical research ast. at a Hospital this year and have currently been accepted to a Masters of Science at Georgetown for next year.

My letters are written by physicians, major advisor and a science professor/mentor.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I can do? Im pretty sure im not socially handicapped either.....I got great scores on performance review at work!
thanks!

you need to contact every school to which you applied (interviews first, non interviews later) and find out what went wrong. you should get a ton of great feedback after contacting 30 schools. Tell them you applied two times and ask if they have information on both of your application cycles.
