Hey all,
I have an interview coming up at Tufts and I would REALLY REALLY appreciate ANY input you might have! I'm a little nervous but from the interview feedback it seems like a pretty laid back interview... I would LOVE to hear any other advice anyone might have to help me get through the day.

Thanks!!😀

Practice with the feedback questions. Most likely you will get interviewed by two students. They seem to rely more on students to do the interview. You might end up with a faculty member.

it really is a laid back interview. At first I didn't believe that it would be, but after actually experiencing it for myself - I can say that it really was laid back. Others will tell you the same and so will the interview feedback on sdn.

Thanks for replying guys...I hope I don't get any crazy questions that day. But I just wanted to know if we need to bring proof of the shadowing that we've done to the interview?? Like a letter from the dentist?

Thanks again!

toothy when is your interview, mine is feb 11th...:scared::scared::scared: im nervous

I think I should be a little more nervous, but for some reason i'm not! maybe it's because the interview is all the way in Boston... mine is in two days!!!

Hey,

All I can tell you is to relax, because it will probably be the smoothest interview you will ever have. You will come into the conference room, sit through a nice intro about the school, listen as they tell you about the program, academics, financial aid, etc, etc...then you will go on a tour of the school come back, eat lunch at 12 and about 12:30 either students or faculty will come get you one by one for the interview. DO not panic! Everyone is very genuine and sweet, its not one of those schools that is out to "get you" by any means, they just want to meet YOU the student. Interview generally lasts anywhere between 15-25 min, 30 min tops....you will come back to the conference room, listen to some more stuff about the school and be outta there by 3. Pay attention to Mark when he speaks because he is a wealth of information and is one of the reasons Tufts is one of the best dental schools out there. He is an amazing dean and really strives to make sure his students are happy. Now that I walked you through your interview day, I hope your nerves are calmed a bit. Best of luck to you! 🙂

yea, what everyone else said. I thought it was going to be a stressful interview, but it was without a doubt the most laid back interview of all. At least in my opinion it was. Dont go in being nervous at all. 🙂

just got an invitation for an interview today, really really nervous! does anyone know how high the acceptance is? and any advice for the interview- feedback is really appreciated thanks!!!

I had one with a fourth year student. He was older looked like the midget Tattoo from the old T.V. show fantasy island, and we did not get along.
