I applied to Tufts a long time ago, and I really hadn't heard anything from them other than the standard emails, and nothing ever appeared under the status on AADSAS. Then I see today it says Application Received/ Under Review. Now my question is, what should I infer from this. That they just hadn't gotten to my app before or what? Also to those that were accepted, did you ever have that status on AADSAS? All responses are much appreciated.

I wouldn't infer too much from it. My status changed from blank to "under review" after I had my interview.

You might want to give them a call and see what's up with your application. 🙂

Tufts admissions office is inept at providing any help whatsoever. They have a policy of not telling you anything over the phone.

I just learned that they didn't have any of my LORs the other day, after I had submitted them in August. I had called to make sure they received them in early fall, but they just said "If we need anything, we'll let you know". Of course, every other school got them just fine from AADSAS... they were completely unapologetic about it too, and didn't even bother returning messages to confirm receipt.

It's a shame their administrators can't match the quality of the institution.

For me it meant that they were about to invite me for an interview. But the invite came way before they changed the AADSAS info.

My aadsas status just got updated from invited to interview to under review.
I hope tufts will give me a direct answer soon.

I emailed them and told them that I had already been accepted to several programs but I am still interested in Tufts. I received an interview a few days later. I don't know if I would suggest doing that if you don't already have offers - it may piss them off. I just felt that I had paid them a lot of money and the least they can do is tell me yay or nay.

I completely agree with this! I have called and e-mailed the admissions office several times but I still have not heard from them since November! I don't know if my application is even complete. However, they were very accepting of my $60. 😡

Hi there.I have to tell you from my experience keep calling. Do not be shy. Just tell them you want to make sure your application is complete. You are very serious and interested about Tufts and although you have been accepted to other places you are still considaring Tufts. I have done this. The schools like to see a persistant and interested applicant. It will not hurt. Talk to Adam. Good luck!

Anyone get to meet that chick that schedules the interviews? She sounds smokin' hott on the phone.

the student body there is better looking than at a lot of other dental schools i've seen....which is always a great thing 😉 🙄
