The interview is cool, its a general one just like BU. Nothing subject related, they asked asked questions about what i have done so far etc.

i just wanted to share some great news with all of u out there...that is that i got accepted into tufts..and i want to give a piece of advice to everybody who is in the same boat as i was a week ago....
DO NOT loose hope, keep all your options open and don't get fixated on one school....i know that it's very difficult to do but there is no other way... and it always pays in the end...

I guess we will be in the same DI 2009 class next April. I got the acceptance letter yesterday. Still a long way to go because of loan and visa issues. But keep our finger crossed. Also good luck for everyone who is still waiting for the results.

As for answering enamel questions..i know 9 ppl (including me) who have been accepted. out of them 3 are definately going to join. dont know abt the rest..this year they are taking 22 students so more seats...goodluck to everybody!!!

Thanks for the info, Bino. I did my interview on Oct. 11. They could not find my official NBDE score report at the interview, which make me a little bit nervous. I know how slow it is to ask ADA to send out another report. It ends up good that finally they found it somewhere. I did not apply other schools. So probabaly I will go to Tufts if conditions permitted. Look forward to see you guys there!

congrats n ur acceptance.
i interviewd at tufts on the 17th oct.
it was good, i was interviewd by Dr.Iqbal Singh.
I asked him ny chances of getting in and he said that he finds no reason for me no to be in tufts dental, but he doesnt make the final decision. so , hopefully i will get a posotive response. that bad part is, that mos of the seats are full.
let see how it goes..
also, Rhia,Bino, Den_alice, can u plz let me know what is the fee structure like for class of 2009 so that i get a better idea.

my interview was on the october 12. they mailed me the acceptance letter within 4 days. it was dated 16th. that was a pretty quick reply.

the interview was cool, nothing much, just asked abot what I wanted to do in the future.

hi enamel,
when i was at tufts for interview, they gave us the statistics.
they will take 22 students this yr, out of which 21 have been accepted.
this doesnt mean that they will accept only one more,
there is always a drop out rate and not all students accepted join the program. also there is one more batch of applicants to be interviewd in november.
so...if u r awaiting a response, not all is lost, there is still hope

My stats are: part I 94, part II 85

Mkot, I was in the exactly same situation as you. I was also interviewd by Dr.Iqbal Singh and he said exactly the same words to me. So I guess you should have no problems getting in Tufts.

Generally speaking the interview was very easy. IS students told me that ~80% of the interviewed candidates would be accepted. A very high ratio!

Hi everyone,
I got acceptance letter from Tufts last week. But when I asked them about the total cost of tution they said it is close to 180,000 this year,as they have increased the tution n fees. This is too expensive for me.
I dont know if I have to accept it or leave the oppourtunity. I dont have any acceptances right now even though I attended some interviews. I have to pay the deposit in Tufts by Nov 1st. So, I am soo confused what to do
Any advice regarding this is truly appreciated.

if i may ask u, can u plz tell us how they have distributed the $180,000?
does it include stay, food, and equipment, or this is only the tuition fees?

Hi ,

I have also been accepted in tufts and will be starting in april 2007 . According to me the amount 180,000 mentioned by vitadent is including living expenses and every thing else.
I had given a link in my previous post regarding the financial facts for the year 2006-2007. Every year the tution & fees increases by around certain percentage (5% not sure )as decided by the board. but that should not be a huge difference. This is the information i got when from the admissions office when I visted tufts long before i applied to tufts.

I got an offer from TUFTS DIS 2009. I have read all the posts. I really worry about the loan if I couldn't find somebody to co-sign. Does any body have idea about whether there is a loan can help those who don't have co-signer?Dose anybody know what is the different in the interests between Federal loan and private loan and Canhelp loan?
