I think so. The funniest thing is that on my interview at NYU me and the interviewer connected pretty well, and during our conversation she sincerely told me to go to tufts if i get in there because its a better school...

btw i am choosing Tufts over NYU...

Don't get all fiesty. I'm just saying. I highly doubt that an interviewer who is trying to get you attend their school would sincerely say, DURING AN INTERVIEW, to go somewhere else.

Most interviewers at NYU and other schools don't care whether they want you at their school. They're just interviewing you and evaluating you to present later to the admission committee. Only the newest schools are really proactively trying to recruit students and "sell" their program. The schools already know that they can fill their class regardless of how their "recruit."

Agreed, and by that you think they would flat out tell you not to go there and to attend a different school that is better than their place of employment? Doubt it.
