Hey guys...
I was looking at predents.com and i decided to take a look at a few dental schools tuitions, and I looked at UB's tuition and its crazy!!! if this is true.
http://www.sdm.buffalo.edu/programs/documents/estexps.4yrs.07-08A-1.pdf

It is completely different from what it says in the predents website... so I just wanted ask If thats really it.
Im having seconds thoughts about applying to UB if that out-of-state tuition is really over 230k lol
thanks.
sorry i said BU instead of UB in the topid hehe

UB = buffalo
BU = boston.

you will not find many d schools cheaper than 230,,,,, but thats just a number... like all state schools u usually go instate after first year... making the total somewhere around 195K, pretty good for an out of stater

I heard Buffalo is one of the cheapest dental school in the US.
Hey loli! Do you know which state schools allow changing oos to instate?

UB is actually probably the most reasonable school financially for out of state students. Also, that link doesn't show just tuition, it's 'estimated student expenses.' Tuition for out of state is 128,000, can't beat that. Plus you can apply for state residency after 1 year. The rest are remaining expenses for living and other educational expenses, which are equal or more at every other school. Hate to break it to you, but UB is actually VERY cheap.

I didnt really listen when I was at most schools, but I do remember that Uconn and Buffalo/stony brook...

North Carolina will also grand you resident status after a year.
It can be done in Maryland but it isn't as easy as other places.

UCSF, UCLA, OHSU, SUNY - Buffalo and Stony Brook

all after one year

considering most private schools will cost you ~$200k for tuition alone, i'd say UB is a bargain.

SUNY at Buffalo's a steal. Unfortunately, I'd go crzzzy living in Buffalo, NY, so I'm going to SF. I'm going to pay more for my own sanity. 😎

Thanks for the correction. I was getting confused between the post and the PDf file 😀🙂😎

Thats why I chose VCU over Buffalo!

Thanks for the comments guys.
and skyskier, ur right
VCU has a great clinic and its location cant get any better, but what other good schools out there have a decent out-of-state tution? By decent i mean, not cheap, and not too expensive like i need to sell my car and my parents house before I apply.

i'm going nuts deciding between Buffalo, the cheap tuition but rural area, or
NYU, the super expensive yet exciting vibrant city life. Also, the class size at Buffalo is attractive (~80 people) compare to the zoo at NYU (like 200~ 300😱 people). What do you think everyone? HELP!!!

go for buffalo

yeah you probably wont get to know your teachers in NYU hahaha
