Working for yourself as a dentist: PRICELESS.

Creighton (Regional Dental Ed. Program)
$13,000 a year for a total of $52,000 in tuition for four years.

UNLV
$104,000 in tuition/tools for four years.

Case Western
$136,000 in tuition for four years.

Marquette
$134,000 in tuition for four years

Is Creighton really that low??? Thought it was around 26K per year for tuition. Is there a special program? If so, could you post a link about it?

Thx!
CB

PS.

OHSU Tuition:
Oregon resident: $12,252/year, non resident: $26,496/year

coreyb,
Creighton has contracts with several states, meaning they will take students from that state and these students get a significant tuition remission while the home state picks up the rest of the tuition.
Creighton has state contracts with Utah (RDEP Program), Idaho (IDEP Program), Wyoming (my state residency), New Mexico, South Dakota and possibly a few others. As ItsGavinC said, students in the RDEP program pay about $13,000 a year compared to the normal $27,000 a year. That is a savings of around $56,000 over four years! Because of this, Creighton is among my top choices at this point unless Colorado comes through and I highly doubt they will.

Medical College of Georgia is somewhere around 38,324 for 4 years. I love being a GA resident 🙂

I have to say that tuition is not playing a part in my decision on which school I will attend next fall. Being $200,000 in the hole isn't that big of a deal when you think of the earning power a dentist has. A sharp dentist can have his loans paid off in 7-8 years.

ItsGavinC,
I don't know where the hell you got the number $104,000 for UNLV. Tuition at UNLV for an out of stater is 18,400. UNLV goes by three semesters, Fall, Spring, and Summer for a grand total of $55,200 a year. Times that by 4 years and you have $220,800. That is not including room and board and other living expenses. Shoot, your price of $104,000 isn't even close to the tuition for Nevada residents who pay $10,900 a semester. Do I have to do the math for you again? I guess I will, you seem to be a bit slow. $10,900 * 3 =$32,700. Multiply by 4 and we get $130,800. Once again this price doesn't include room and board. This all comes straight from the website at UNLV's School of Dentistry. Maybe you should check your sources before you post again!
