Tulane Anatomy Certification Program for Waitlisted Med School Applicants

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Basically, you go there for a year prior to med school and take anatomy (possibly a few other courses as well). i'm not sure if you're guaranteed admission the following year or not, but if you end up at tulane as an M1, you'll be chillin' (relatively) while your classmates are stressing over anatomy.
probably wasn't much help, but thats what i know.

From what I heard in my interview, everyone who has done that program was admitted to the med school the following year. It is a great option if you know that you want to go to Tulane and want to get a head start in medical school instead of getting more research experience, or joining the peace corps or teaching... It is not really a post bac, it is sort of like first year without being a first year.

Is there a good link or place on the Tulane site that talks about this program? I haven't been able to find a thing.

Thanks a lot peseshet! One last question though: If students who finish the ACP program gain acceptance to Tulane Med, do they have to basically retake the classes they already completed as ACP students? I really can't tell if IntlMD07 answered this question.
