So who knows anything about Tulanes pharmacology program and human genetics, or georgetowns pharmacology program. Their both a year long and I was going to apply the summer before it starts cause my decent mcat is good for one more year.

I think pharmacology, specifically drug design is fascinating. Also, in case med school doesnt work out Id rather have a masters in an area that I enjoy then like some smp of first med classes that has no real focus. Also I want to write a thesis on a class of hiv drugs that I think in theory could work and it would be fun to see if I could even make them in my thesis lab.

is your goal to get into medical school or to get a phd, or a pharmD? Granted you took the MCAT so it seems that you want to go into medicine. Are you shooting for a MD/PhD? Georgetown is a safer bet to get into medical school, not sure about Tulane.

that will be an excellent venture to research your options under special masters program. PM me if you have any questions, i have a good working knowledge of most SMP's out there save a few here and there.

Out of curiosity, if you're willing to consider Georgetown, why would you go to their pharmacology program instead of the Special Masters program?
I'm in the Pharm program at Georgetown and I also take classes with the SMP students. It's a GREAT program with great classmates and profs.👍
