Is anyone here going to attend, or currently attending, Tulane's MS program in cell and molecular bio?

I am going to attend starting this fall.

Thats cool man, I'm strongly considering going there, the only thing that is making me reconsider is the cost. However, the tuition is much cheaper then most other SMPs, much cheaper!

I am working on my online application right now and plan on submitting it before the office opens on Monday morning. Did you guys submit the same personal statement that you used for medical schools ?

Basically the same one, but I added stuff at the end on why I chose Tulane's MS, and how the program is going to help me.

I'll be attending in the Fall too.

A bit of advice if you're still in the process of applying: If you have the time and really want to stand out, write a personal statement specifically for the Masters program instead of using the same essay.

for those who got in, can you post your stats/ec/etc? Just want an anecdotal look at the entering class.

also, anyone who graduated w/ a nonsci major, is doing a postbac and was admitted to Tulane? if so, at what point - in terms of the classes you took...after first semester orgo/bio/physics or far beyond that - did you apply? Did you get in w/a GRE or MCAT?

I'm attending too (3.6 overall, 3.4 science, 33 MCAT, 1400 GRE). I emailed Dr. Grisbaum and he said that Orientation was scheduled for 8/23, followed by Registration on 8/24. Classes start 8/29.

Are you guys applying to med school for the '08 entering class?

I'll be attending as well (3.0 overall and sci at a top 10 school, 36 mcat) I'll also be applying to med school for '08. I talked to Dr. Grisbaum who said that they would be sending out information this week. Where are you guys living?

I got a studio at Deming... I know it's kinda far from campus, but oh wellz...

Did anyone get an email from Dr. Grisbaum yet?
He told me that he was going to send out an email by end of last week, but I still haven't received it yet.

I emailed Dr. Grisbaum on my own and he confirmed that orientation is on the 23rd and classes start the 29th. He also told me over the phone that they would be sending out an email introducing the class, but since then I've received nothing.
