Tulane- on hold?

What does on hold mean exactly for a school like Tulane? Anyone familiar with the way they do things?

Seriously, you had the sack to call them up and ask them why you were not invited for an interview? I'd like to eat what you're eating.

Haha, well I didn't phrase it that way, I said I've had mail and email lost from Tufts, BU, Northwestern, Jefferson, etc. that has delayed my applications at these schools by one month. If you have sent me something in the mail, I would like to confirm it over the phone, as I have received interview invites from many schools I applied to after I applied to Tulane.

I figured that was a reasonable question, its just a receptionist right?

I fear that I'll get much of what MDmiracle got. I have to figure we are driving the admissions people crazy.

This is an insanity inducing process. I hate this board, but I cannot look away. It's like that interview thread. Oh God, some people have interviews at schools I applied to. Why haven't I got an interview? My app is complete, blah blah blah.

So you make excuses, "maybe they are only doing out-of-staters today" or "maybe it's only A through L this month" or whatever.

Anyway. . . .

I am so with you. 31 schools, 2 rejections, no interviews yet. This sucks. About 1/4 of my schools have started handing out interviews.... why not me?😡

Guys, I felt the same way LESS THAN ONE WEEK ago seeing the posts on here was TORTURE but in reality you are way ahead of the majority of people and you are getting helpful information on SDN that most people don't get--- and they can't possibly read everyone's apps in a one or two week period (now that they are all pretty much pouring in), so don't worry! They are coming!

I probably wouldn't like living in the South anyway... but I figured its a decent school with relaxed students which is what I want.

Thats all i got....
I called GTown and they said my app hadnt been reviewed yet.
So I located my balls and I wrote an email to georgetown asking them to hurry up 🙂
No lie.
I said i was from the south and poor and that i have other interview that i would like to schedule but am waiting on Gtown so I can schedule them together, a la your story.....
I was polite about it, but still cant belive i did it.
My app was complete there at least three weeks ago....they should have looked at it by now.

i was on hold at tulane last year and ended up getting an interview in the spring. that happened to me at a lot of schools. sometimes it just takes a while, and they want to sit on your application a while and give it another look after they've reviewed other apps...
