Check out the thread in the psychiatry forum on our so called "turf-war". I don't think they know yet that this law was passed in Ca, and is being enforced.......

PS. I happened to mention it to them 🙂

Excellent posts! You have a wonderful balance of assertiveness, diplomacy, and patience. For me, I'm not sure what is more difficult, dialogue with an ignorant psychiatrist or working with an out of control borderline. Keep up the good work!

psisci,

I believed I asked this in the psychiatry forum (apologies if you have already answered this question): What is the status of RxP for California psychologists? Any word on data from NM or LA?

Please excuse my ignorance, but how do you say "RxP?" I know its a medical term refering to the prescription privileges. I just want to know how to say it so I don't sound so ignorant. thanks 🙂

Thats just it-prescription privileges. Whenever you see RxP-it means prescription privileges.

Just like:

Sx: symptoms
Hx: history
Dx: Diagnosis

thanks annakei, im learning a lot from this msg board!
What about "Rx," what does that stand for?

Rx means Prescription

So Rx + P = Prescription Priviledges 🙂

I have no info on RxP in Ca. sorry. I am a much bigger supporter of the training than I am of the script pad.
