hello guys,

I am a Canadian, am wondering the cost of medical schools in US.

What's the average tutition (for 4 year) of "private" med schools in US like?

Would out-of-state students have to pay more too relative to in-state students? If so, what's the average tutition that out-of-state student would have to pay for 4 year eduction? Thanks!!

Hi, tuition can vary quite a bit between schools. Your best bet is to get a copy of the MSAR which gives quite a bit of information about schools (avg GPA, MCAT, curriculum, research required, and of course tuition). You can order a copy here: https://services.aamc.org/Publicati...ion=Product.displayForm&prd_id=149&prv_id=175

For public schools out-of-state students do pay higher tuition typically. Just to give you a few examples, I have a list of 31 schools (still trying to narrow it down). My in-state schools will cost me $21,390/year. For all of the other schools, I'm either out-of-state at a public school or it's a private school. The average tuition of my particular list (not counting in-state) is $36,598 year, and ranges from $22,695 to $43,014 per year.
