3.periodontal receptors.
4.nociceptors in the dental pulp.
2.

answer 1
muscle spindles

answer 2
i cudnt find anything the right answer
let me knw if someone knws it

choice 1

3.EACH OF THE FOLLOWING IS WRAPPED IN THE INVESTING LAYER OF DEEP CERVICAL FASCIA EXCEPT ONE.WHICH ONE IS THE EXCEPTION?

1.TRAPEZIUS
2.STERNOTHYROID.
3ANTERIOR SCALENE??
4.STERNOCLEIDOMASTOID
E.INFERIOR BELLY OF OMOHYOID.

4.NEURAL CREST CELLS GIVE RISE TO WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING?
1.CELLS OF RENAL MEDULAA.
2.CELLS OF ADRENAL CORTEX
3.PREGANGLIONIC SYMPATHETIC CELL BODIES
4.POSTGANGLIONIC SYMPATHETIC CELL BODIES.

4.SUPERIOR GANGLION OF CRANIAL NERVE 9
5.SPINAL NUCLEUS OF TRIGEMINAL NERVE

The IXth nerve has no real nucleus to itself. Instead it shares nuclei with VII and X. The sensory information in IX goes to the solitary nucleus, a nucleus it shares with VII and X. All motor information, essentially the innervation of the stylopharyngeus muscle, comes from the nucleus ambiguus, also shared with X.

6.
SUPERIOR PORTION OF GENIOGLOSSUS MUSCLE CONEECTS:

1.TONGUE TO HYOID
2.MANDIBLE TO THE HYOID
3.TONGUE TO THE MANDIBLE

The superior and middle fibres r inserted into the tongue..the lower fibres insert into the hyoid bone.

Pls correct if wrong!

thanks

Sorry, i read the 1st option as adrenal medulla..that would be the right answer...its not the renal medulla.

Derivatives of Neural Crest Cells
Spinal ganglia (prevertebral/paravertebral)
Ganglia of the autonomic nervous system (ANS)
Ganglia of cranial nerves V, VII, IX, X
Sheaths of peripheral nerves
Meningeal coverings of brain and spinal cord
Pigment cells (melanocytes)
Adrenal medulla
Odontoblasts of tooth

4.NEURAL CREST CELLS GIVE RISE TO WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING?

3.PREGANGLIONIC SYMPATHETIC CELL BODIES

yes u r right i also read it as adrenal medulla that shud not be the answer
everybody please correct renal medulla is not the right answer
i think it is preganglionic of sympathetic.
do correct me if i am worng

well answer is preganglionic sympathetic cell bodies [autonomic nerveous system]

renal medula arises from the endoderm

hi
cud u plz tell me how u arrived at choice of anterior sclanus muscle
as far as i knw investing layer of deep fascia splits between two layers superficial n deep
to incorporate in between
trapezius and SCM
im nt sure of other choices also i tried to find but cudnt find
let me knw how u arrived to this answer?

thats why i have put 2 question marks after the choice!!
Even i searched but culdnt find the right answer...only thing was i culdnt find anything relating anterior scalene muscle and deep fascia in any of the books or articles i went thro.

i am pretty sure the answer is "postganglionic sympathetic cell bodies' b/c the neural crest gives rise to sympathetic ganglia (so the postgang cell bodies are in ganglia)...the neural crest gives rise to ADRENAL MEDULLA...i don't think you can assume it's the renal medulla (deriv of either ecto or mesoderm).

u r right
i did a mistake of reading it quickly and jumping to conclusion
that is why i corrected myself but i did not find the right answer

sorry..i hope you didn't feel i was bashing you...i apologize...i didn't want anyone to get this wrong on the test...i myself chose renal medulla initially b/c i read it so quickly...best of luck!!
