Anyone have any knowledge of what is possible or required for the 2 plus 1 family med schemes in canada?

I will be applying next yr to family med qnd hope to do anaesthetics after wards.

Where will i stand at the end of all that if successful?

So family med + anesthesia would allow you to practice anesthesia. Realistically, your practice would be limited to more rural/Northern areas because the major centres employ FRCPCs. A common set-up is doing a few mornings a week of anesthesia, with the rest of your time in your family medicine clinic.
