Hey guys,

My test is in 2 weeks, my plan is to do 5 BC full lengths next week but I was wondering what people's advice was for the next couple weeks.

Also, RC advice is very much needed. I have done the BC 6-10 tests over the last 2 months, maybe 1 every other week and my scores have been 20, 20, 20, 18 and 18. However, any advice on just cracking down on RC over the next few days would be very welcome!

So along with BC tests 1-5, do the 2007/2009 tests as well. If you haven't finished Destroyer, finish it but if you have, then do it again (shouldn't take too long the second time around). Make sure you review the solutions for each BC test and Destroyer problems, whether you got them right or wrong. As for RC, I think you're doing pretty well. Hope this helps 🙂

RC on the actual exam won't be as hard, as BC, so don't worry! Just practice search and destroy. Make sure you review your every BC explanation for your test after you take the exam. If you don't understand something, make a flashcard and review it everyday! Quality over quantity.

In addition to what is said above, I would say take the 2007 sooner rather than later since it will more than likely be on the easier side compared to your real exam (perhaps it could serve as a confidence booster), and take the 2009 (I would recommend SNS only) closer to the test date once you feel you are getting closer to completing your studies (make sure to account for the errors, which can all be found online). Also give yourself enough time to cover all of the information in the BC tests 1-5 as well. Search and destroy should serve you well for RC (try to practice it as much as possible), and try to be as familiar as possible with the quantitative comparison questions that BC has, there will more than likely be a good amount on your test.

Hi, I was in the same position as you! I just took my DAT today and got AA - 22, TS - 21, Bio - 21, Gen chem - 21, Ochem - 23, PAT - 20, QR - 22, RC 23. I really started studying for the DAT around 1-2 weeks ago (I'm a huge procrastinator) and really found good sources to help you get a 19-22, but NOT 23+ (Getting a 23+ will take lots of time...). For Bio, I read Cliffnotes once and Ferralis notes twice (I would say ONLY read ferralis notes, but read it MULTIPLE times to help you remember all of it). Ferralis covers like 95% of the questions in the bio section, imo. GC - Mostly calculations, if you don't have a strong gen chem background, watch Mike's videos and learn the basics of each concept. OC - This was my worst section in practice tests since I just took OChem this summer and my class didn't cover it extensively. Mike's videos are definitely a must if you don't have a strong OC background; it would also be crucial to study the Roadmaps and key reactions in Destroyer. I had DAT destroyer, but I didn't use it since most of the problems were too complex, but I believe this book is crucial if you're really trying to aim high on the DAT (23-30). PAT simply takes practice (use bootcamp, it's great). And QR and RC are easier on the actual DAT than bootcamp, so I'd say don't stress over these. Overall, use bootcamp and the resources it provides in each section and you should easily be able to score a 20+!

Good luck! Keep working. Stay confident. Visualize the scores you want and really think about what it takes to achieve that score. Then, go do it! You got this.
