Fun post, should be studying Physics but whatever. This is a post for people to talk about their pets, different types, different experiences with them whatever you want.

I have had Dogs (Family dogs- French Briard, Doberman, Dalmatian, Golden Retriever, Beagal, Mutt - still alive at 18 years old with my parents) and Shar Pei yes the one in the picture.

Horse- Moms actually it was gone by the age of 9, but it was ligit
Cats- one named tiger I had growing up got eaten by alligator

Gerbils- bought 2 males in 7th grade so I thought I ended up having a litter of 11 and most of them lasted until I was in college 6 years later.
Hamsters, Mice, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Sugar Glider, Hedgehog

Pot belly pig-(not my idea, a bunch of idiots in my fraternity thought it would be a genius idea to buy a baby pig as our mascot and have it live in our house. I ended up taking care of this little guy for about two months until I could find him a proper home.

Skunk- Awsome pet, Michelle was her name; she followed me everywhere in my house and never wanted to be left alone. However she became very territorial of my room and with 3 dogs and 5 siblings the skunk was to much for the rest of my family. She ended up biting my sister who was 5 years old at the time, and my mother forced me into giving her away.

Also have had hundreds of tropical fish, Chameleons, Blue tongued Skinks, Bearded Dragon, Box turtle, Red ear slider, Zebra Finches, Parakeets, Cockatiel, Sun conjure.

Currently I only have my Shar Pei at school with me and a 50 gallon Ciclid Tank. My parents have the other dogs and some of the other creatures.

Anyone else Im ready to read…………….

Well this will be a fun thread.......

Started with gerbils - brother killed one by making him 'run' faster on the wheel. I gave him a proper burial in the backyard. I was 5 and it was traumatic.

Cats - McCormick - crazy calico. Bear - strange longhair.

Snakes and such - Yuck! As a child I would find snakes and keep them in an aquarium in my room. Mom found my worm snake in her bedroom one day and flushed him. Not a happy moment.

Dogs - first was a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. She used to drag me down the street, literally. Had many lab mixes growing up. I now have my first small guys - two Yorkies. Spoiled to death.

Horses - first was "BJ" (yeah, i know) a Quarterhorse. Then Evening Image, my Thoroughbred (she was crazy), Drambuie our Hanoverian and Safari the Canadian Warmblood. Did dressage and eventing.

Always wanted a goat and some cows.

A turtle named Radar, my mom thought he smelled so I gave him back and got a hampster and named him Radar again. Also had hampsters named Precious, Houdini, and Nacoma.

A mouse named Nibbles.

Guinea Pig named Ivy

Fish- Romeo and Juliet

An anole named Liz

A newt named Fatso

A snake named Mr. Beezle (until my stupid ex left his cage open)

Cats- Trouble, Cookie and currently Darwin Grey

Dogs- Digger (golden), Holly (border collie mix) and currently Vista (doberman)

Horses- CC (whom was never really mine, but I will call her mine since I rode/showed her for 7 years and she taught me so much) a quarter horse and Western Dance "Westie" a thoroughbred.

and of course random frogs, tadpoles,, toads, and salamanders I found in my vernal pool. Also temporary hermit crabs and regular crabs (I lived on my dad's crusty old boat in the summers) all of which my sister named Willie after the movie "Free Willie"

Edit: I knew I forgot someone, a cockatiel named Nippy

2nd edit: Vanessa and Patches rabbits

also tons of chickens and turkeys

OOh, I don't know where to start.

My grandma has a farm so I grew up around pigs, horses, cows, sheep, geese...you name it. So that resulted in me having a pet cow. Loved her but she got sold.

Had a dog, mutt, named Lota when I was around 5. Well it was more like my sisters, my brothers, and mine.

Then had a Pomeranian looking white mutt, named Simba for quite some time. She was technically mine. 🙂

Had a cockatiel. Had to give both the dog and the parakeet away when I moved to the US.

In the US, we didn't have any animals for some time cause we were too busy setting ourselves up in a new country. Then I got a hamster for a birthday named Ariel. She went crazy after we moved, killed a mouse and ate through the metal bars. Ended up running away never to come back.

And now we have a pug, Jesse. Also considered mine since I take care of his every need. 🙂

I grew up with a pair of West Highland Terriers named Beau and Sugar, and when they passed we got another named Skye (who is now 9). We also had hamsters and eventually added kitties. The hamsters I remember most were brothers named Gizmo and Gadget (yeah, I know)... they were born when we left them with my grandma while we were on vacation! Apparently our female was preggers when we bought her. 🙄 Anyhow, my kitties are all ones that we have found that were abandoned. They include Furrbella (14yo domestic shorthair, who I named when I was 7 😕), Aspen (9yo Turkish Angora seen in my avatar), and Steve (6 or 7yo solid grey longhair something 😛). That pretty much sums it up! I vaguely remember having a saltwater tank when I was little that had puffers and clownfish... I also had two bettas (Maximus and Vorenus). I just started a 10 gallon freshwater tank that is currently fishless cycling, so hopefully some new fishies will join me soon!

My first pets were fish... Zipper and Stripes and then the aptly named Orangey and Organgey-Black. There was also one that was born live from another of our fish that we called Fish Kabob. There were a bunch more, and we made up a song about them all, but I don't remember all their names.

Other than that all my pets have been rabbits. I got my first two when I was about 10. The breeder told us that two females would get along best (NOT true), and also neglected to tell us that they should be spayed in order to get along. So as soon as they hit 6 months or so they started beating each other up, and even after we had them spayed they hated each other with a vengeance. Every year or so one of them would break into the other's area and they would have a re-match. Anyway they lived 6 and 7 years respectively, which wasn't too bad considering that I had no idea what I was doing. The one died of fly strike, which I still feel terrible about, and I will never keep a rabbit outside for more than a few hours because of that (this one lived mostly outside in the summer).

My current rabbit is a tan colored dwarf that I got from a shelter that I volunteered at. He was left in a cage outside the shelter after hours so he was outside in a very sketchy neighborhood all night. I have no idea what his life was like before that because his owner couldn't bother to come during hours and do an intake form for him. Someone must have been nice to him at some point because he is super social and friendly with people. He hates other rabbits though and seems very offended if I ask him to spend time with those furry long eared animals (he thinks he is a person). So after unsuccessful bonding attempts with three different females I've decided he will be single for the rest of his life. He has his own room and walks around destroying things... he is very good with his litterbox and so he is free-roaming all the time. He likes to lay in bed and watch TV with us. Haha obviously I could talk about him all day but I'll stop now 🙂

i had asthma as a kid growing up, so i couldn't really have pets. buttt my asthma "went away" and now it's all goooooood :]

Fishes: i had many beta fishes. my dad would let them "fight" and i would cry cause i thought it was mean & torturous. The only names i remember were Rainbow [b/c it looked rainbow-ee] and Monster [b/c he would always win in the fights lol]

Gerbil: her name was Zipper. my sister got her from class. She "died" b/c my mom let her run away. RIP :[

Guinea Pig: her name was Cookie...and she pooped chocolate chips! lol. her ears would always go up when we screamed "Red Bull gives you WIIIIIINGS!!!". died of natural causes :[

Maltese: His name is Cakeiyo [Cack-key-oh]. He doesn't understand English...onlydoes tricks in Vietnamese :]

Gerbils- bought 2 males in 7th grade so I thought I ended up having a litter of 11….
-Same thing happened to me when I was in 5th a gift from "Santa"

Family pets:
Newfoundlands, Nick and Jean
Black cat, Mickey(found outside Disney World at a rest area)

DOGS: My mom has always loved beagles, so I've had one since I was about 9 (23 now)

CATS: Parents have barns...for racecars, not horses 🙁 so there have always been cats around. I've never personally owned one though. Pet friendly rental houses are hard to come by.

BIRDS: Had a cockatiel named Sydney and a half-moon conure named Sam.

OTHER: hedgehog, gerbils aplenty, guinea pig, snake, anole lizard

I haven't had a pet in my house for almost 5 years, and I miss them. Nice to think back on them though 🙂

I always felt shafted feeling like the only pre-vet who wasn't allowed to have many pets! We've only ever had one family dog (he's 13 now), a budgie when I was in 2nd grade, 2 gerbils for a few years, and I just got my first rabbit a few days ago 🙂 (she'll be coming with me to school of course!)

I'm jealous of all of you guys who had tons of pets!

One black labrador retriever, still with me. He's probably the most lazy dog you'll ever meet in your life. He's a sucker for belly rubs and is the only dog that can snore, drool, and have slobber all over his face and still look adorable. He's the kind of dog that lets 5 year olds put crayons up his nose and finds amusement in it.

A few turtles when I was younger, until my dad told me the mother came and got them because she wanted them back... he really put them in a lake.

A few rabbits. Kinda a long story and I don't wanna get into it. lol.

But I have one that currently lives in my room. I adopted him from a rabbit rescue and his name is Panda. He's pretty shy and a nerve wreck, but I've gotten him to warm up a lot. He'll never be a social butterfly though, but he purrs often and loves to be petted! He will chase you for vegetables and fruit. Sudden movements and small noises do scare him a lot though, and even I make him nervous sometimes. I don't know too much about his background, so maybe something happened before I adopted him. (please PM me if you have any tips to overcome this behavior!)

I've had a few hermit crabs when I was younger. They never lived long :/

And once, a stray mother cat gave birth to a litter of kittens under our porch. She left the runt behind, and we ended up keeping her. Until my dad gave her away without our permission... I wonder how she's doing now?

Zebra finches when I was like 3.

I have a goldfish that has lived for around 5-7 years, and I consider him immortal. He never dies through anything. Long vacations, etc. And I don't think he ever will.

Had about 2 beta fish (not at the same time) that lived in my room. They lived for about a year or so each.

OK........(I should be studying for Organic) but this is way more fun 😀!!!!!
  • a few hamsters when I was in grade school
  • numerous cats over the years (both barn and indoor)
  • my first horse was when I was 7yrs old "Niki"-quarter horse (we sold her when I was 10), got my second horse soon after "Dondie"- Tn walker and he passed away in 2002, rescued a TB mare in 2003 "Allie" and recently sold her a month ago. I now have my DREAM horse "Blue"- quarter horse (he is trained in reining) which I bought in Dec.
  • Brahman cow "Floppy"
  • pot bellied pig "Noodles"
  • my first dog was "Cindy" and bassett hound mix, "Jake #1" black lab, "Sara" shepard mix, "Booger" black lab, "Jake #2" black lab, "Jinco" rottie mix, "Sam" cockapoo. Currently me and my husband have "Dixie" black lab and "Bobo" yellow lab mix.
  • mini donkey "Tigger"
  • flying squirrel(s) "Squeek" and "Squirt"
  • rabbit "Spot"
  • I've had a few budgies
  • I currently took in a handicaped cockatiel (she has nubs for feet, is unable to fly and the other birds plucked her feathers) I guess you can say she is happier now 🙂
  • I have ALWAYS wanted a myotonic goat (next on my list)
  • plenty of ducks and chickens
  • and plenty of the oh so common goldfish
Wow, I think that is everyone. When you get to naming them all the list can get long. 🙂

Congratulations on your new rabbit DocDVMD 🙂 What breed is it?
X3anewdisaster, I sent you a PM.

This is kind of a fun thread.

I guess I started with goldfish. My brother and I always got pets in pairs. I don't remember his fish, but I named mine Floppy. It died fairly quickly. Replacement fish: Floppy 2. I think I got up to Floppy 4. I distinctly remember the next fish, his dorsal fin looked sharp to me (keep in mind I was ~3 at the time), so, naturally, I named him Killer. He lived forever. Moral of the story: give your fish badass names. I had fish on and off growing up, usually won from carnivals. I also got a betta when I lived in the dorms freshman year of college and went into pet withdrawal. His name was Bacchus.

My brother and I got parakeets when we were younger too, probably shortly after all the fish, or maybe there was some overlap. I named mine Reggie, and his was Brucie. We then proceeded to name all of our pets Reggie and Brucie for a few years.

Gerbils: Reggie and Brucie, of course. Actually, one day when my brother was at school, I was playing with Brucie and he bit my PJ pants. I freaked out and screamed, and my mom came in, thought the gerbil was biting my leg, and tried to pull him off. Well, she pulled him off, alright, and broke his neck in the process. Whoops. She tried to get a replacement gerbil before my brother got home from school, but couldn't. It's become a family scandal.

In first grade we had "special weeks" where each day was something special about us...special book, special food, etc. One of them was special pet. I didn't have a pet at the time (Reggie the parakeet had recently died), and that Christmas we got Trixie, a calico kitten, who I had until last summer when she had a heart attack. A few years after we got her we stopped calling her Trixie and started just calling her Kitty, so that's what her name became.

I guess I was in 4th-ish grade, and decided I wanted either a turtle or a hamster. I ended up with a teddy bear hamster named Lily who lived about 2 years.

In 5th grade I wanted a small parrot (probably influenced by the movie Paulie), so my aunt bought me a pied cockatiel, who I named Sugar, until we found out he was a boy. Then, and I don't remember exactly how, his name became Sugarbear. A few months later my mom decided cockatiels were the greatest things ever and fell in love with one at the bird store. She was the most ******ed (apologies; can't think of a PC word that fits better) bird I have ever seen in my life. She was a lutino cockatiel, so my mom named her Mel, short for Mellow Yellow. We ended up giving them away 4 years later because my dad hated them.

FINALLY in 8th grade I convinced my parents to let me get a dog. It had been quite a struggle the previous 14 years. We went to the humane society and adopted Sasha, a pit mix who is still my best friend and is passed out in my bed upstairs as I type this. She has always been MY dog, and my parents have since had two beagles, not overlapping. Hershey got lymphoma when she was about 5 and we had to put her down in 2006. Bailey still lives with my parents.

I sketchily acquired a rabbit my junior year of college. We had a pre-vet club barbeque at Lake Wauburg, which is a lake near UF. A clearly domesticated rabbit fell into our possession, and we couldn't leave him there, so I ended up with him. He is a white and gray lop eared rabbit, and I named him Waully, after Lake Wauburg. I wasn't really prepared to have a rabbit, having a dog and a cat at the time (and having never had a rabbit before), so I put him in with Gainesville Rabbit Rescue and fostered him until he was adopted last November.

The most recent acquisition is Westley -- kudos for those of you who get the Princess Bride reference. He is a Ragamuffin cat that I adopted a few months ago. Found him on Craigslist, no lie.

I think that's about it. Looking back on it, I've had more pets than I originally thought. Bottom line is now I've got Sasha and Westley, and my parents have Bailey the beagle.

I used to feel like that kid that got shafted. Then I started listing them on here and realized that was quite untrue.

When I was 5 I begged and begged (my mother strongly dislikes furry creatures) and I got 2 kittys for my birthday Patrick and Melissa (we had just moved to the US, those were the first american names I thought of, my best friends at the time). Melissa ran away years and years ago, but patrick lived 19 years until this past month. I miss him dearly.

Other than him I had 2 water turtles, Bubbles and Slider, a hamster named Jupiter and some fish here and there.

Been around horses all my life but could never afford to have one of my own.

Now I am a petless veterinary student wonder. I have been thinking about adopting a dog, but I think I should maybe wait until I get settled into school as I have never owned a dog...thoughts?

I've had...

- a quite illegal robin named Tweety.
- Two budgies - Rainbow & Wren
- A guinea pig named Hammie... who was pregnant from the pet store, so that turned into three guinea pigs: Hammie, Night and Brownie.
- Assorted fish, mainly betta.
- My lump of a black lab mix, Slurpee.
- A DSH kitty who is technically owned by another marine my family is friends with, but he was deployed to Iraq and then moved back to California, so she's mine now. Name's Kahlua.

former:
  • a turtle that I can't remember
  • quails
  • numerous fish-betta and goldfish
  • a cat that came after much begging and disapeared and we found its skeleton much later in the yard, so I don't know what happened
  • tadpoles
  • a shepard/collie mix named Misty that died of natural causes when I was 6 and she was 13
  • a Pekingnese mix named Zippety (after the hamster on Barney) that ran away when he was a puppy and we did find him a couple weeks later, but he was with my terminally ill uncle, so we didn't say anything
  • a Lab/Golden retriever mix that was food aggresive (I still can't figure out the reason) we had for a couple years when I was about 8
  • a rabbit named Harley that died of natural causes
  • numerous goats some that died and some who were sold
  • a couple of hermit crabs that lasted a while
current:
  • our family pet is a Dalmation mix named Smokey that I also got after a lot of begging after bad luck with 2 of the 3 previous dogs
  • 4 goats that I own, my main reason for commuting to college🙂
  • 2 goats that my brother owns
My parents (except for my mom with the goats) aren't really into the whole pet thing and animals in the house either.

I say you should just get settled into school and wait until you know how your schedule will be like before you know what you're getting in to. You know what I'm saying? 🙂

I used to feel like that kid that got shafted. Then I started listing them on here and realized that was quite untrue.

Same here! I started out my previous post saying I hadn't had many pets, since I feel like I spent my entire childhood begging my parents for one pet or another. Then I had to erase the beginning after I'd finished my post..

Susiewaits, I would definitely recommend settling into school a little bit before getting a dog. I know there are two schools of thought to this, but I would also recommend adopting an adult-ish dog, or at least one that is moderately trained and housebroken. All the dogs my family and I have adopted have been over a year old, and they settle in really quickly. This year my roommate adopted a puppy, and while he's got fewer neuroses than my shelter dogs, he has been rather....destructive (no more than a normal puppy). He is also way more of a time commitment than my dog, since he has to go outside every few hours. Just my two cents.

Susiewaits, check out this thread on the vet forum:
http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=619305

As for myself, I've had:
- 2 fish, Frances & Henrietta
- 2 parakeets, Crackers & Crackers 2 (not very original, I admit--but I was really young when I had them....I did better naming my fish 🙂)

-a Yorkie named Missy

In the past several years, I've had 1 dog, a Havanese (or mix) named Chico, & 11 cats: Ferris, Ophelia, Cyrus, Kramer, Jasper, Floyd, Tater, Eliza, Marv, Pez, & Stickler. I currently have Chico plus 9 of the 11, having lost Kramer to HCM with chronic renal failure in 2004, then Cyrus to restrictive cardiomyopathy in 2007. I credit Kramer & Cy with motivating me to go back to school in the hopes of getting into Tufts. I'll be keeping them in mind as I start there this year.

Congratulations on your new rabbit DocDVMD 🙂 What breed is it?
X3anewdisaster, I sent you a PM.

Thanks! She's a dwarf hotot and very adorable 🙂 I named her Maybelline because of the "eyeliner" look.

I've had cows, horses, chickens, ducks, pot bellied pig, rabbits, bird, hamsters, ferrets, cats, dogs...

Right now (just) 4 ferrets, 2 cats, and 2 hamsters with me.

Started with turtles, then fish, then parakeets. My parents were and still are dog haters.

Got my first dog in college, and have had quite a few, as many as 15 at a time. I now have 3, and lots of fish. Goldfish and Koi are my big fishy thing. The avatar is one of my current kids.

Another one whose parents aren't into animals . . .

When I was VERY little (think less than 6), we had some fish -- neon tetras and goldfish -- but the thermostat on the tetra tank went kaput and overheated the fish, and I don't remember what happened to the goldfish.

When I was in second or third grade, I went through a phase where I decided I like collecting crickets and keeping them in -- surprise! -- the old fish tank. I discovered that if you put enough crickets (2 or 3 dozen) in one tank together, some of them die and the others start cannibalizing the bodies. Cool! That experiment got stinky enough that my parents put the kibosh on it fairly quickly.

In terms of mammals, my parents are OK with cats. We got two kittens from a neighbor of a friend when I was 5 and my sister was 9. Being kids, we named the calico Tiger and the tortie Laura (I was very into the Laura Ingalls Wilder books at the time). They came to be known, thanks to my wise-guy dad, as Meatbag and Flealoaf, or, more mundanely, White Cat and Black Cat. Meatbag/Tiger/White Cat was PTS last summer due to ESRF, but Flealoaf is still trucking, albeit with early renal failure and chronic GI issues. She's the tortie in my avatar pic.

The new cat, Cicely, was dubbed by my dad as OMB, for Other MeatBag. She is also White Cat (the Second). We're not very good about using their given names around here. 😀 Cicely adopted me a year and a half ago when I was living away from home, and I never did get around to finding her a new home, and my parents acquiesced and let me bring her back to school with me. She is the calico in my profile pic. She came with the name Cicely (she belonged to my ex-landlady's mother, long story), and she is about 11.

On the horse front, I have never owned a horse, but I have a good friend whose horses are almost mine. William, her/our first horse, was an Irish Draught/Thoroughbred cross imported from Ireland by a previous owner. He was euthanized in 2007 due to a freak accident in which he shattered P2 and P3 while standing out in the field. Piko is a Rheinlander whom we call the "dressage refugee" -- she ended up with him because he hated being a dressage horse. He is now very happy as an event horse and all-around pet. Rafferty is a Belgian/TB/Warmblood mutt who was bred by a foxhunter but is also an event horse and all-around pet. 😎

I have had, dogs, cats, chickens, roosters, chinchilla, horses, gerbils, hamsters, bearded dragons, rabbits and fish.

The most by far are the horses..
I currently have 3 but at one time we had up to 20..About 15 of them were rescue horses that we got, took care of, and eventually found forever homes..I have also had racehorses which were a lot of fun. So mainly I have been around horses forever, and it will stay that way🙂

Oh yeah to to OP I love your dog!! They are one of my favorite breeds...sooo cute. I had to train one in obediance in my high school, well that was fun to say the least. Anyways I love you dog and thanks for making this a topic😉

Unfortunately my parents were never really pet people, it was mostly my mom because she would scream at me if even a single shaving hit the floor. Her house needs to be pristine at all times, and I would never dare to just bring an animal home on my own money because she would pretty much lecture me about how she pays for my school which 'automatically' means I can't have pets.

I had a hamster growing up, although I never handled her because she bit all the time. So, I spent 4 years looking at and cleaning a grumpy hamster. My sister had a guinea pig who I was severely allergic to, but my parents were also big on responsibility and wanted my sister to go through with the experience. The guinea 'Peanut' was a great pet, very friendly, but it was 5 years of allergy hell for me.

Then we got Sara the dog, she was 1 when we adopted her from the shelter and now she is 15 and still going strong! I love Sara, she has been there through everything and is the source of many hilarious childhood stories.

Then I got birds after joining a Avian Hobbyist Club. I was 12 when I got my Zebra Finches and Cockatiel. The Zebra Finches lived in a home-made outdoor aviary and I would spend hours watching them, they were my favorite pets ever. They bred and made babies, at which point I took out the nest boxes and let them live in peace. The last one passed away late 2008, byebye little Bunky! 🙁

My cockatiel is a spunky 10 year old, very happy and talkative and loves my dad more than anyone else. She'll spend hours sitting on him, grooming his mustache, and if I dare to try and pet her while she's with dad, I get the ferocious hiss. 😉

I got my 2 lovebirds in 2003 when a friend was on vacation so I hand fed her whole clutch. She wanted to let me have some as a thank you (yay round the clock feedings!), so I picked two and they live happily here. They are quite the clowns, I love them to death and think they are great.

I also work at a Zoo, so I consider my animals there my babies, the Giraffes and Elands especially. I had numerous pet fence lizards growing up, they lived in an outdoor terrarium. This past fall I experienced life as a bunny owner for a few days after I found a stray rabbit. I'm glad the owners picked him up, but I would have loved to have kept him as he was the sweest, smartest rabbit ever. 🙂

How funny, my dad refused to call the cat from my avatar by his real name, Aspen, until he was a few years old. My brother named him but my dad insisted on calling him LWC, for "little white cat." Now he seems to just go with "white cat" (since he is 9 and hardly little), and still rarely addresses him by his real name! 🙄

Nikki - A budgie
Lucky - Lab mix

My brothers took the iguana and frog with them, and the other pets died like 5 years ago. My parents kept a lot of pets when we were younger and they all passed between 5 and 10 years of age.

My favorite have and always will be the macaws. <3 Especially the Scarlet. 😍

I will someday end up with a yellow nape amazon though. I really, really love them. They crack me up and I don't mind their "one person" tendencies. =]

Purely for my own amusement, I am going to attempt to name all the cats I can recall from childhood to present. Lol.

China, Bossy, Simon, Miz, Grey, Wuffer, Shy, Mister, Fred, Socks, Rusty, Girlfriend, Dolly, Butthead, One-Eye, Puppycat, Tortie, Roscoe, Sylvester, Lionel, Mango, Ringo, Tux, Gypsy, Monty, Kitay, Peaches, Blackie Mo' Midnight, Lester, Wally, Momma, Kit, Chester, Rascal, Cheetah, Mon-chi-chi, Zafara, Manny, Kougra, Kristine, Yoda, Sugar, Oreo, Miru, Kaiyobi, Myles, Bob, Tia, Mia, Tawny, Grey (II?), Arlo, Frito, Callie, Sissy... Vesper and Slater. I named most of these... and I know I'm forgetting some.

As for dogs, there were Josie, Joey, George, Dogina, Snot, and Ella. I have Chloe now.

No rodents, birds, horses, or livestock.

My parent's 5 acre bit of land is an anmal graveyard. 🙄

My first pet was an orange tabby cat named Tequila. When I turned 9 we had a microburst that took the air conditioning unit off our roof and threw it back into the house. So we had to leave our house for quite some time and as a result we gave Tequila to a family friend. They moved to California with her. When Tequila lived with us she was scared all the time when they moved to California with her she became a friendly, social kitty so it was for the best. We got news a few years later that she died at the age of 9 from Feline Leukemia.

When I was 5, my older sister and I got pet hamsters named Shamu and Pepper (ya I know). When my mom was cleaning their cage one day she set them outside in a box and forgot about them. The AZ heat was too much for them.

I had a black DSH cat named Pepper for 12 years. He was a cool cat. RIP Pepper kitty.

We got 2 female guinea pigs and named them Lightning and Thunder. It turned out Lightning was pregnant at the time and had a son that we named Derby (was born on the day of the Kentucky Derby). We didn't remove son from mother in time and so son got mother pregnant and we ended up with 3 more guinea pigs. We found new homes for all of the guinea pigs.

We have 2 dogs. Snickers (picture in avatar) a border collie mix that we have had for 11 years he will be 12 in November. And Cassie a blonde Australian Shepherd mix that we have had for 2 years she is about 5 or 6 years old.

We have another black DSH cat named P.J. She is about 8 years old.

I had 2 hamsters named Bugsy and Lola. Who have both passed away. RIP.

I currently have 2 hamsters named Chubbs and Chestnut. Cute little girls.

I have had many beta fish as well as many fish when I had a 10 gallon aquarium but I have since gotten rid of it. It became too much to keep up with when moving back and forth between school and home.

That is the end to my animal family.😀
