For the average practicing radiologist, what is the typical day like. What type of things does she/he do in the average day? (ie reading films, biopsies, other procedures, etc, etc, etc.) Also what percentage of time is devoted to each of these tasks??

Academic or Private Practice? Interventional v Nonintervention? Big City v small town? Large Group or Small Group? Military or Civilian?

Typically Rads rotate in different sections CT, MR, Bone, Mammo, Chest, ER and US. Biopsies are usu done when on US or CT. On bone, you do arthrograms. During neuro, you do LPs and myelograms. This is the perspective in a bigger university setting. How much time devoted depends on how complicated the case is. Biopsies and drainages take little time. Your day also depends if you are reading out with residents or working on research.
