You're aren't finding an answer because there isn't one. It depends heavily on where you apply and when you apply, and I'd guess to a lesser extent on how strong your application is. If you're applying to a school that does rolling admissions, you could hear back in a matter of days on an interview or it could be months. Some schools have a specific deadline and don't look at any apps until that deadline has passed.

👍

Case in point, I applied back in June last cycle, chose interview date in September, interviewed (1st batch of interviews) in mid October, received acceptance email the first few days in November (1st batch of acceptances). It depends on so many different factors like R2pharmD2 said.

Yes, acceptance can be anywhere from mid-fall (Nov) to early spring (Apr) or even longer (entering class orientation in fall) if you get placed on a waitlist of sorts.

ive considered the fact that quickers responses come with strongs apps. I should have stated that. If you guys could give a brief description of your stats as well I would appreciate that Thanks again
zzzz these apps are kickin my butt. Been working on them for past 5 hours. Im trying to submit my pharmcas stuff before the end of this week...does it matter if the supplemental apps arent done b4 then?

Depends on the school.

Stats (not in detail):
3.75 GPA, volunteer exp, work exp, no degree, ECs with leadership position...(can't really remember anything else).

I applied at the end of December, had two interviews in March and was accepted to both at the beginning of April. One of my schools didn't even start interviews until February. It just depends, we could give more specific answers if we knew where you are applying.

University maryland, University maryland eastern shore, thomas jefferson, shenandoah, vcu, and notre dame

I believe that U of Maryland doesn't interview until after the new year. They were one of the last to send an interview invite to me (out of 7 or 8 schools). Not sure about the others on your list.

Stats: 3.90 GPA, 97% composite PCAT, extensive volunteer work, worked four months in a pharmacy...those are the biggies on my application.

Schools applied to and accepted: Buffalo, UofA, UC Denver, and USC.

I sent in my application at the end of August, even though I took the PCAT August 21. My application was then completed in October, when I got my scores in. I got my first interview invite from Buffalo at the end of October and was accepted a week later. I got my next invite for the beginning of November from USC. That acceptance took a while. They went through two more interview cycles before accepting me. UC Denver was the end of November, and then accepted at the end of December. Finally, UofA didn't even begin processing applications until the end of December. I interviewed in early spring and was accepted by April.

It really just depends on the school you apply to. As you can see, each of my schools had a different set of interview dates and method of accepting/declining applicants. If your dream school is the first on your list to interview and accept, it makes life a lot easier. Mine was definitely not that simple. I wasted thousands of dollars and now I'm very much regretting it.

Good luck!

in situations where you get accepted by a school in october and then by a school in april. Did can you make a school wait 5 months b4 giving them a replly?

Nope. You usually only have a few weeks to make a decision. So you plunk down $500 or so for an "insurance policy" deposit at the first school, then withdraw (and lose $500) if you get into your top choice.

Sometimes it is good to strategically submit your supplementals depending on which of your schools have rolling admissions. Submit your top choices first. My first choice had rolling admissions, so I submitted that supplemental a few weeks before any others. There was another rolling admissions school that tended to make decisions fast and required a $1000 deposit, so I held off on that supplemental. If your top choices are not rolling admissions schools, then things are a little trickier.

My school did not begin reviewing applications until Nov 1, but did rolling interviews / rolling admission after that. I submitted about 2 weeks before Nov 1 deadline, got an interview invite the week before Thanksgiving, and interviewed mid-December (it was the second interview date...the first was about a week earlier). I got an acceptance email before the Christmas holidays.

The second round of interviews for that school was in early January. People accepted from those interviews heard in about 3 weeks. The last set of interviews were in February. Maybe some got in directly then, but many from that interview were waitlisted and not notified of acceptance until summer.

Some schools review based on in-state vs out-of-state as well. I believe UC-Denver did it that way once the main interviews started because in-staters heard back within about two months, and I heard back after three. University of Montana was the worst though. Interview was in late march, acceptance was... I think late may. It was a "last resort" if you had not been accepted anywhere else.

How did you guys find out if your school is doing rolling admissions and stuff? I've lingered on some pharmacy school websites and I didn't find anything....just when the apps are due 😕

Does anybody here knows if Texas Tech does rolling admissions or look over the apps at a specific time?

Yea that seems like a good idea from the school...but geez i already gave pharmcas $400 :bang:....ne ways like the person posted below...i know thomas jefferson does the rolling admissions---but schools really dont mention that newhere on their sites. Where do you look or am i going to have to call them personally?

pinksparkly-- a buddy of mine got accepted to U Min.. n maryland for this comin year..he turned them down to go to med school(really didnt give me a real reason why) i wanted to karate kick him a few times..
