anyone applying to university of Massachusetts early decision program? Did they start interviewing yet? First they send the secondary application 2 weeks late then you just don't hear from them... Anyone? I don't even know if anyone can see this message? hello? ola? 😛

I did not apply early decision, so I am not sure about that process...but they are sending interview invites for standard applications at this point, so I imagine the other invites must be out/going out? Hope this helps!

actually, what I meant to ask is does anyone know what "admit term 3800" means? when I login to my u mass online application, under the off site interview page, on top right, it says "admit term 3800".

I am not sure what that message means...but it appears in the upper right corner on mine too. Maybe just some office-specific coding thing?

I was having difficulty with the online secondary forms/to do list/etc, so I called admissions to make sure they had received everything and they are extremely nice and helpful. I never received a "complete" notification, but when I called they told me they had everything. Also, to answer your first question, interview invites are being sent via email.

Do you have the stats on UMASS applicants/acceptances, avg. GPAs/MCATs, etc.?

Is it possible to schedule an information interview with a member of the admissions office?

Am I exaggerating to say that UMASS has become frighteningly more competitive in just the past few years?! 🙂

According to the 2006-2007 MSAR the median MCAT for accepted applicants was 33Q. The overall GPA median was 3.62 and the science GPA median was 3.57.

I am not sure about scheduling an informational meeting...they might have that information on the website?

I don't have any other statistics with regard to whether UMASS is becoming more competitive, but as you can see from the 2006-2007 data, it is definitely competitive now...

Isn't the acceptance rate something around 1 out of 7 Masshole applicants?
