U Mich Acceptance: Cancelling Interviews

With an acceptance to U Mich, would you cancel interviews at any of these schools? Dartmouth, Vermont, Northwestern, Rochester? Thanks. I'm open to living anywhere, and interested in primary care or internal/peds subspecialty.

If you are instate and most likely paying less anyways for med school and you would rather save at least 500 dollars in interview costs. Then yes. If you are loaded, then go enjoy your interviews. On that list, umich has the best aid package and probably a huge leg up ranking wise. Either way, its a win-win situation for you. nothing to stress over.

I'd still consider Dartmouth and Northwestern unless you've heard they are no longer offering good aid packages in these hard economic times. Are your stats good enough to stimulate merit scholarship offers?

If they are schools you think you might pick over U of M, then why not go? It will be worth it in the long run, right?

I would think about attending interviews at schools that have a lower overall cost of attendance.

there it is.....if they beat Michigan on your big board, then go to the interview...if not, cancel and save the money!! 🙂
