U Mich. LOR email

SDN'ers,

I just received today the LOR email request from U Mich. 3 days after I received the invitation for the secondary application. I was wondering if there was anybody else who also received this request?

BTW, I am an out of state, East Indian Male, for those who wish to know.

Any responses would be appreciated! 🙂

I also got the LOR request email shortly after the secondary notice (58 minutes).

you should check your status page...after i received that e-mail i checked my status page and found that I had received an interview!! very strange since my letters and even secondary haven't been submitted yet...but i am really psyched!

btw, for those intervewing at UM...did you get the letter yet with the dates? what are they?? Thanks!

After I got the email I logged in and saw the interview message too. But when I logged in ~3 hours later, the message was gone, and changed to one that told me to hand in my secondary and application fee. 🙁

I also received the LOR e-mail but were do you check about the interview on the check status link?

get onto the logon page:
https://soleus.msis.med.umich.edu/appstatus/logon.jsp

then one of the buttons on top will be a "staus" button...click on that. it should have something like "action taken" or something along those lines on the page. mine was blank until after i got the e-mail..then it was for an interview. good luck!!

It will tell you on the check status page whether you have an interview request or not. Essentially it says you have an interview and that they are sending you a list of dates by snail-mail. I just received that piece of mail today, even though I was able to check my interview status online on the 24th.

last year they did the same thing. i actually got my request for LORs before my secondary. and two days after receiving the secondary, i got an interview invite (hadn't turned the 2ndary in yet.) don't worry - just get all your stuff in. it's a good sign that they're interested in you. 🙂

Weell, not interview info yet on my status page shucks! oh well at least they have requested my LOR's...

Finally heard from Michigan this morning (I was getting worried, as its my first choice).

Does the LOR request imply interviews? I've never really gotten the D&L on how the Michigan process works, and when they cut people
