I know this topic has been beaten to death in a different thread. So this is for anyone with specific info on univ of chic program. Where do the residents go after training. Where were last years interns from, etc?

Any residents out there with anything to say about their program. There are definitely lots of opinions about this program, but I've found very little actual info (the website doesn't have much about the specifics of the program).

Cooze,
Been awhile since I posted as I have been ignoring the unfounded crap recently posted about our program. I'm a third year resident at U of C and I'm happy here. Ignore all the BS about malignancy, FMG's and lack of fellowships. This years chiefs: one matched MD anderson surg onc, one in peds surg, one in vascular at penn and one in vascular at milwaukee. Last years chiefs: one in trauma in chicago, one in CV at Duke (a female nonetheless) one at columbia for laparoscopic, one at Mem sloan kettering surg onc. the year prior to that 2 chiefs to mem. sloan kettering for surg onc one stayed here for transplant. Bottom line since I've been here 100% of chiefs have gone on to good fellowships. Our interns this year: 2 from here (can't be too malignant if we manage to keep our own), one from Mt sinai, one from northwestern, one from U of california somewhere and one from New jersey somewhere. 1/3-2/3 of each class is AOA, most have done research. One person since I started has changed to radiology-- and he's staying at this hospital. Sure this place has its bad days, but I can't complain too much- peace
