I got an interview invite last friday and I sent the email choosing my date on monday and I haven't received an email reply letting me know if I got the date that i chose or even that they got my email. does this just take awhile or should I send them a second email?

Send a second email (or better yet call) if you don't hear soon. This happened to me too, and the secretary had lost my response email when her computer crashed.
