Has anyone heard about this program opening up???? This would be great news to me. I heard about it on another link, looked up UNT site to no avail, then found this

on the pharmcas website! Has anyone heard anything solid? I looked at the aacp site and they werent in the directory yet (but neither is A&M Kingsville or S of Inc Word in San Antonio).

UNT has nothing on their website at this time regarding a pharmacy school. I assume that if there are plans for one, they will be for 2006 entrance or after.

Texas A&M - Kingsville and University of the Incarnate Word ARE on the AACP website. You have to click on "Pharmacy Schools", and then "AACP Affiliate Instituional Members (U.S.)."

I called a few folks at UNT and they confermed that a Pharmacy school is in the works. They are waiting on the legislature's okay. I couldnt squeeze out any dates for opening. Hopefully it will be 2006.

Yes there is a school (school of Incarnate Word) opening in SA in 2006. I got a call back from UNT-there is a solid plan to open a pharm schoool but the nice lady I spoke to doubted it would be in the "near future." I asked if she considered 2006 in the "near future" and she did, so 🙁 for me.

Wow, so many schools are opening up in Texas. Hopefully the market isn't going to get too saturated with Pharmacist that it'll be hard for us to find high paying jobs.....

I guess after you graduate, Texans should move to another state like CA?
