U of WA RIDE Program

I was wondering if anyone on this forum is applying for the RIDE program at UW (http://www.dental.washington.edu/home/RIDE/RIDE_index.php). If so have you interviewed? or does anybody else have any other info that would be useful for applicants to this program? Thanks in advance!

I applied for RIDE and I have an interview set up later this month.

I think the idea of the RIDE program is to get their future dentists to practice in rural communities where access to dental care is very limited. It's a great idea, especially someone from the area.

However it is important to consider the fact that you will be with about 7 other dental students alone and you may not have the attention that you would back in Seattle. I would say it's a great idea to apply if you are an independent person and want to work in a rural area.
