Hello all,

I am a non-traditional applicant. I have a few questions for those of you who have attended the UAB/Case Western/Yale MMEP program.

What year did you attend the UAB/Case Western/Yale MMEP program?

Were you able to get any letters of recommendations from professors/doctors in this program? Do you know of anyone who did?

Are you able to do research in this program, or is it just rounds with physicians?

Is it true that the top 15 people in the program get granted interviews? How is the MCAT prep?

What type of classes did you attend while in the program?

Were there alot of non-traditional students in your MMEP class?

Do you think the MMEP program helped in your applications to medical school?

Have you done any interviews or were you accepted after doing this program? Was the MMEP program the subject of any interviews you attended?

Do you know of any people who were exempted from living on campus?

Do you know of any students who were offered research opportunites with any professors/doctors they met, after going through this program?

What was the best and worse aspects of this program?

Do you have any advice for those of us who wish to better our application into the MMEP program?

Do you have any advice for success once one has made it into the program?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Not to be mean, but you might want to cut down the number of questions.

Also, I know of no members in my class that went through the UAB program and are also regular posters here.

Yours,

Hello JPaikman,
