When did u guys send in your applications? What are ur stats? Are u from the Appalachian area?

My Application was sent the day they started accepting them. Stats = above average GPA, average PCAT. Yes I live in Appalachian area (~30 min from UACP)

Good luck!

Hi! I got my letter of acceptance on Monday and I will be attending UACP. Does anyone know if there is anywhere to fish in the area? My boyfriend will be moving with me and he loves fishing. Look forward to meeting you all!

Congrats!!! I'm glad your bf is moving there with you. What will he do there (as in work or school)? It seems very desolate in the mountains. but, at least you'll have company! When did you interview?

My interview was December 13th. I'm really excited about the area. I am from a small rural town and it will be perfect for me other than its 6 hours from home!

to those that got interviews/were accepted what were your stats and where did you go to school?

I had 3.2 gpa 69 pcat and about 2 years of experience working in an independent compounding pharmacy. I graduated from UC Santa Cruz. Good luck to you! Do you have an interview?

no, i just applied, I go to Virginia Tech, pretty close to UACP, I just found out about the school a little before I applied so I'm pretty far behind in applying to UACP, I still need to do the supp. application. but my stats are pretty similar to yours above, and I'm retaking the PCAT in a few days.

Good luck to you hopefully you'll get the interview! When I got the invite they said there was limited seats left though.

Does anyone know if they are still sending out invites? I finished my apps last October and still haven't heard anything.

I had my interview the 13th of December but I was placed on hold.

Im really in a tight spot right now as they are also interviewing others.. I really don't want to lose my place.. I have been shooting for UACP since I heard about its 3 year program and I live in the Tri-Cities region so about 1.5 hours away...

Ugh.. I am not liking this...

Have you heard anything back yet?

i just got a mail too saying that my application is put on hold. i don't understand if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I mean they have to finalize everything by May 15th so i'm really confused.

Depends on what he's after. If he's into big lake fishing there is some in this area but there's not any 2,000 acre lakes or anything of that size around. Plenty of stocked reservoirs including large dam sites nearby.

Also, there are some native trout streams as well as stocked trout streams which is, in my opinion, where the fishing really shines around here.

Anyway... yea, he's in the country, no doubt he'll find some recreational stuff to enjoy around SWVA! Tell him to check out www.swvaoutdoors.com - it's a pretty bad forum but it's what most of the locals use to tell big fish stories.
