UB alternat list

i've heard that UB sent out more alternate list letters than rejection letters after interviews... is that true.. if so why?

That's what I have heard too. The only thing I can think is that they have a lot of spots open up during the summer, so it's easier for them to fill their class if they have a big alternate list to pull from.
