I know there are a lot of UC-B and UC-B extension students on here. If anyone on here has taken a molecular biology course with Prof. Matt Mattozzi can you please PM me. Thank you.

It looks like he's not actually a professor, but rather a grad student in the Keasling lab.

Technically correct, but he has taught a few classes over the past few semesters. Was hoping to find someone who may have tips on how to study for his exams. Without a study guide and without sample questions and only 500 pgs of the textbook, I was hoping to find some help on sdn from past students (I realize it's a long shot).

Check Ratemyprofessor or a similar page Berkeley has.

If it's true that he's taught a bunch of times, it's by choice on his part. The Keasling lab is well funded, and I wouldn't expect any student to teach more than the required number of semesters (usually 3) if they don't have to. If he's taught more than that, it suggests he likes doing it.

Are you sure he's actually the "professor" of the class and not the head GSI? We usually have very little input into how tests are written, etc.

Figured it was a long shot... looks like no past students. Oh well, back to studying. Hopefully the solutions guide to the problem sets will be up soon. Thanks anyway sdn community 🙂.
