Hey all,
I will be attending Davis in the Fall and have heard some horrendous things about the physiological chemistry course that we take as first years. I was wondering if someone would be willing to send me a couple of the lectures so that I can get an idea of what it will be like. The biochem class I am taking right now is pretty much a joke (terrible prof), and as I am sure that phys chem is similar to biochem, I'd like to get an idea of what I should be getting out of this class.
Thanks

You may want to make sure it is from a first year. From what I have been told, the chem is now incorporated into your other blocks and no longer its own class.

You think that makes it better? I've never had p Chem but it sounds lovely. NOT

Looking at the curriculum on the website now, I am guessing it is incorporated into VET401 (Basic Foundations), but that's just a shot in the dark.

Some of the material from physiological chemistry is incorporated into the basic foundations block of the new curriculum (which at least this past year was pass/fail and I believe will continue to be).

The course itself wasn't too bad though IMO - less nitpicky details and less depth than my undergrad biochem courses.

Yeah...I guess I meant first years. I was thinking I was a first year and therefore the second years would be the class ahead of me, ha. Look at me...So excited, I think I'm already a student!

It is mingled in and is not bad at all. You'll do fine and don't need to prep ahead of time.

Immunology on the other hand......Oh, how I wish I had taken that course!

I don't think we are allowed to share notes like that (there are policies against it) - but as others have said, you should be fine anyways.

Don't the big sibs share notes?

Big sibs share personal outlines (sometimes), but we aren't allowed to distribute professor PowerPoint slides (as far as I know - sometimes we have to click a button acknowledging we won't do so, and other times I think it is indirectly implied).

Thanks Moosenanny!
