Anyone have any thoughts on this program? I'm from a Midwest school and my advisors know very little about the "smaller" peds programs on the Westcoast. I really liked it there and would love some input on how it compares to the other Norcal programs (UCSF, Oakland Children's, etc) or maybe even OHSU.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Thanks

I have a friend who is a resident there and really likes it. They get a lot of experience and living near the hospital is easy to do. The residents all see to get along well and they are willing to let you plan your own electives like international rotations if there is something you are interested in that isn't offered already. For being a small program, they also seem to emphasize academic integrity and research quite a bit and seem to be well respected. I worked with a pediatrician from there who is one of the most thorough, conscientious Peds docs I've met. Hope that helps.
