UC DAVIS pre-med

I took ochem at UC davis 8A and 8B

8A was 2 units without lab and 8B was 4 units with lab. (quarter system)


Do I need to take more ochem? if so would one semester of ochem 1 and ochem 1 lab at a semester system school suffice?

I believe you are supposed to take the 118 series.

Unless someone here actually goes to UCD and knows what classes those are, we will most likely be unable to provide you with much advice. How did you take a 2 unit ochem class?

sounds like a prep class.
the fact that OP is asking if they should take "ochem 1" leads me to believe they didn't take the appropriate class

i dont go to uc davis, but just glancing at their course catalog for 30 seconds i can tell you that you were supposed to take either the 118 or 128 series. you dun goofed.

As someone who did graduate from Davis, yes they dun goofed.

You need 118 if you're trying to get that MD or DO

8AB is relatively easy and only for some major that doesn't require lot of ochem. Take 118ABC. Also 8AB doesn't give you one year of ochem
