Hello,
I have been accepted into UC Davis vet school, but just realized my previous physiology class does not count towards their school and now I need to take an upper division phsyiology class by the end of June to fulfill the requirement and not lose my offer. I've read through some older post, but am having a hard time finding an online and time flexible class that will allow me to do so.

Anyone have any suggestions

This is the class I'm taking now that they have approved. Btw this has been discussed before, which is how I found it. Try to do a search first. Hope this helps:

Edit: also I would recommend submitting a course substitution form to verify that it's ok.

You might have to adjust your schedule to make room for your class, even if that means cutting back on your work hours (if that's the problem). You may even end up having to quit your job, as many vet students do, because you probably won't have much time to work and be able to keep up with your studies unless you are able to work only on weekends. In fact, the veterinary technician program I'm looking into discourages employment during the school year because they have found that students who work during the school year have a lower success rate than those who don't.

Ahh i just searched more carefully and found it! I'm sorry! How are you finding the course though? Is it something that can be completed in 3 months while working full time? And is it shaping up to be something that is easy to pass/do well in?

There is a time limit on the course for 16 weeks, I am currently working full time and am doing fine in it. It is not an easy pass and you have to do the work. But it is a relatively informative course that I think will be helpful in future courses. The one thing I hate about it is there's like 4 different professors teaching the material and they switch off which professors cover which chapters, so every switch I'm like great, which parts do THEY think are important. Overall, if you put the time into it, you should be fine, but don't let yourself get behind. It's fairly intensive and will drown you if you have to do more than 45 minutes -1 hour a day. Just take a little chunk at a time you'll be fine.

You could see if this online course through UC Berkeley Extension would work: http://extension.berkeley.edu/search/publicCourseSearchDetails.do?method=load&courseId=41637

Davis accepted my Mammalian Systemic Physiology from Berkeley Extension, but I took it in person and this class is a bit different, so you should check with admissions. But it might be a good option. You have a minimum of 3 months to finish it. I'm currently taking Genetics online through Berkeley and to be honest I don't really like the format, but it's ok and I'm getting it done.

Good luck!
