What was your experience like? Tell me about your story.

I am thinking of moving to the West Coast for post-bacc. I would like to know if it's worth the move or not.

If you aren't URM or disadvantaged you aren't eligible and I'm not sure that you can even enroll in these programs if you aren't from CA.

I am Asian. I am definitely disadvantage. Well, I want to see if it's worth moving over there... if it is, I'll get a job there and wait it out until I get my residency and then apply for post-bacc.

I don't think it makes sense. You can do postbac at any college. Doing it at the UCs and applying for California residency to apply in the most competitive applicant pool in the US doesn't seem worth it.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here knows about the UC post-bacs. How competitive are they? I know they're for URM/ disadvantaged reapplicants, but how hard is it to get in? I will most likely be applying to these programs next year because I really screwed up on my MCAT (22O) and I just wanted to get more info about them. I have a 3.76 overall gpa and 3.7 science gpa, CA resident, pretty average EC's and I am disadvantaged-- i applied this year but after taking the MCAT I know I need a miracle to get in to any school now. Please, I need you help and any information is appreciated.😕
If you were/are in the UC post-bac program could you give a little more input.

thank you!!

You don't need a postbac. Your GPA is fine. What you need is a MCAT prep course.
