Admit day and New Student Orientation are a big blur now. If i remember correctly the day starts of with an optional campus tour and an optional info session for out of state students. i didn't go to either of those but if you are an out-of-stater you should definitely plan on attending cuz they go over the process for becoming a Cali resident and obtaining in-state tuition. I think we did some ice-breaker games or maybe some name games? then Sharon and Van Sluyers give u a long (boring) talk about financial aid, student policies, etc. There was a nice lunch, similar to the one served during interview day. although, this time u won't be stressed out and u might actually enjoy it! then they have a student life panel where u get to talk to students about anything. there is a Housing panel where u talk to students about housing. I think admit day is a great time for u to find a roommate, but it might be kinda hard to find someone u like after just a couple hours and after meeting 66 people. it might be way to early to start looking for housing. i wouldn't worry about that till may-june (your emails will be blowin up with people looking for roommates and housing that has become availbale).
what else.... oh yea, i think u get to meet your big sib! can't wait to meet the very lucky person who gets to be my lil sib. =)
i think it goes from 9am-5pm??
and if u are coming from SFO, take bart (bay area rapid transit)!!! The bart makes getting around the bay very easy! u get on right at the airport and get off in downtown berkeley which is about a 20 minute walk to minor hall.
anything else?
