I wanted to ask current ucbso students on what kind of activities you do on Berkeley admit day. what time does it start and what time does it end?
Also, were you able to find a roommate and housing on the admit day?
Details on how the day is going to be is greatly appreciated. =)

ps. does anyone know how long it takes to get from Berkeley to San Fran airport? What would be the best way to go? Thanks!

I'm interested to know, too. Have you received any emails or snail mail about Admit Day yet? I know from Sharon Joyce's phone call that Admit Day will be on April 17th, but we really don't know anything else aside from that.

Admit day and New Student Orientation are a big blur now. If i remember correctly the day starts of with an optional campus tour and an optional info session for out of state students. i didn't go to either of those but if you are an out-of-stater you should definitely plan on attending cuz they go over the process for becoming a Cali resident and obtaining in-state tuition. I think we did some ice-breaker games or maybe some name games? then Sharon and Van Sluyers give u a long (boring) talk about financial aid, student policies, etc. There was a nice lunch, similar to the one served during interview day. although, this time u won't be stressed out and u might actually enjoy it! then they have a student life panel where u get to talk to students about anything. there is a Housing panel where u talk to students about housing. I think admit day is a great time for u to find a roommate, but it might be kinda hard to find someone u like after just a couple hours and after meeting 66 people. it might be way to early to start looking for housing. i wouldn't worry about that till may-june (your emails will be blowin up with people looking for roommates and housing that has become availbale).

what else.... oh yea, i think u get to meet your big sib! can't wait to meet the very lucky person who gets to be my lil sib. =)

i think it goes from 9am-5pm??

and if u are coming from SFO, take bart (bay area rapid transit)!!! The bart makes getting around the bay very easy! u get on right at the airport and get off in downtown berkeley which is about a 20 minute walk to minor hall.

anything else?

Thank you very much for the information!
I actually emailed Heather and she said that the events start at 8 am (optional tour) and ends at 7pm.. Looks like it's going to be a longer day than the interview day..

Is the optional tour the same as the one they had on the interview day? If so, I don't really need to go again..

Anyway, thank you =)

I'd assume it's a campus tour instead of a college tour.
