UC Davis will be hosting their annual Pre-Medical and Pre-Health Conference on October 12-13. The conference will include Q&A panels with deans from many of the 200+ medical and health-professional schools represented at the conference. You can see a full list of attending programs at the conference website: www.ucdprehealth.org.

Questions for these panels will come from the audience, but they will also come from you! Reply here with your questions for the deans' panels and they could be used at the conference. Video of the sessions will be available on YouTube. You can see past panels at www.youtube.com/ucdprehealth.

Hi, I really wish to attend this conference but the Stanford bus combo passes are all sold out. Does Anybody living in San Francisco Bay Area still interested in attending this conference?

Question for the deans:

Medical schools everywhere strive to create physicians with model characteristics that benefit the patients. If you had to narrow it down to one, name the most important personal trait that you believe makes the very best physician?

Would telling admissions committees that you have substantial or very substantial undergraduate student loan debt, make you an unattractive candidate? I wonder because I am aware that schools are rated on "total student indebtedness" which counts undergraduate and graduate student debt. So, having a student with lots of debt can make a school look bad, unless I'm missing something.
